Here’s the science that goes behind the scenes

You don’t have to look up complicated jargon every time you pick our product off the shelf. It’s straightforward.
Whey Protein + Casein (12 gms in a SuperShake)

A combination of milk protein concentrate. Whey is the “faster” protein since its amino acids are absorbed quickly by your body in ~20 minutes. While Casein is the “slower” protein since it’s digested more slowly and amino acids are absorbed over roughly 3 to 4 hours after consumption [3]. We have formulated this precise balance of Whey and Casein so that your body remains sustained in an anabolic (muscle-building) state for longer. Milk Protein is on a short list of vegetarian single protein sources that are considered complete since it has all 20 amino acids including the 9 ‘essential’ amino acids which your body cannot produce. [1]

Coconut Oil

Coconut Oil is a rich source of Medium-Chain Triglycerides (MCTs), a type of Saturated Fat. 65% of the Fat content of Coconut Oil is from MCTs. Unlike other Sat Fats, MCTs go straight to your liver and become a rapid energy source for your body [11]. MCTs are also linked with fat-burning properties [12].

Oats
Carbs - Low GI carb source

Carbohydrates that break down quickly have a higher glycemic index(GI), release glucose into the bloodstream quickly and cause spikes in blood sugar levels (not a good thing). Low GI carbs sustain energy while managing blood sugar levels.

Soluble Fiber

Rich in Beta-glucan (soluble fiber), oats help in slow digestion, which means it makes you feel fuller for longer so lesser chances of reaching for that snack.

Raw Coconut Sugar
Carbs - Low GI carb source

Apart from having a lower GI to white sugar, Coconut sugar is a natural ingredient. It is also contains trace amounts of certain nutrients like iron, zinc, calcium, potassium and antioxidants [15].

High Oleic Sunflower Oil

High Oleic Sunflower Oil is primarily (82%) made up of Monounsaturated Fatty Acids (MUFAs). Consuming MUFAs could help lower LDL (bad) cholesterol levels, which is known to contribute to a lowered risk of heart disease. Research shows that MUFAs can benefit insulin levels and blood sugar control, and help manage type 2 diabetes.

Chicory Root Fiber (6 gms in a SuperShake)
Carbs - Low GI carb source

Chicory Root Fiber is an excellent source of prebiotic fiber. It feeds the “good” bacteria (probiotics) in the intestine and promotes a healthy gut microbiome [13].

BREAKING IT DOWN

Protein

Proteins are the building blocks of muscle mass and amino acids are the building blocks of proteins. Amino acids are essential in building and repairing muscles, bones as well making hormones and enzymes. [2] ICMR has recommended an intake of 0.66 to 0.83 grams of protein per kg body weight per day [3]

Fats

Dietary fats are essential to the human body as they supports cell growth, protect organs, provide energy, keep cholesterol and blood pressure under control. They also facilitate the absorption of vital nutrients. [14]

Carbs

Carbohydrates convert nutrients into glucose to give you the energy to function. There are 3 main types of Carbs: Sugar, Starch and Fiber. The recommended amount of carbs per day by the Indian Council of Medical Research(ICMR) is 130gms.

Fiber

Our Supershakes are high in Fiber. Prebiotic fiber feeds the "good" bacteria (probiotics) in the intestine and promotes a healthy gut microbiome [13].

Micronutrients

Vitamins and Minerals are jointly called Micronutrients. With the exception of Vitamin D these are not produced by the body and hence must be a part of your diet [7]. While most of these are easily accessible, there are certain micronutrients like Vitamin D, B12, B9 and Iron in which deficiencies are common in India [8].
